We assemble Director of Photography packages across Mexico City, Guadalajara, Baja, and Yucatán with crews trained inside the deepest cinematography custom in Latin America. Mexico's DP roster sits behind only Los Angeles and London in global Oscar-class credits. On the ground, the bench beneath them runs deep through AMC (Asociación Mexicana de Cinematógrafos) and connects directly to Estudios Churubusco (Mexico's oldest studio, govt-owned since 1945), Lemon Studios CDMX (Bardo finishing), and Fox Baja Studios Rosarito (Titanic, Master and Commander, Pearl Harbor world's-largest ocean tank). Our DPs bring the camera trucks, focus pullers, AC teams, DITs, and gaffer relationships to scale from one-day commercial pickups to long-form features.

Here is the short of it. DP selection respects the visual lineage of the territory. A Yucatán shoot at Chichén Itzá or Tulum routes through DPs familiar with INAH archaeological-site lighting restrictions and the sun-baked Maya jungle palette that Mel Gibson's Apocalypto established. A CDMX Roma-style monochrome project pairs naturally with DPs from the Cuarón circle who shot or operated on the 2018 production through Roma and Condesa neighborhoods. Baja desert Westerns (Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Sicario) pull from the Durango Magnificent Seven 2016 vaquero-Western lineage.

On the ground, Spectre's 2015 Day of the Dead Zócalo opening — credited with shifting CDMX cinema infrastructure for global tentpoles — established the helicopter aerial DP roster we now book for high-profile feature work.
