Standard workflow ingests multi-cam interview rushes (typically 2–4 cameras plus boom and lavalier audio) into a synced timeline via PluralEyes, Premiere's built-in multicam sync, or Resolve's auto-sync, then string-out edits in subject-driven assemblies before refining to broadcast or podcast-length cuts. Bilingual Spanish/English editing is the CDMX baseline — Mexico City editors handle code-switching, neutral Spanish ('español neutro'), regional Mexican Spanish variants, and English-language interviews fluently. Transcription pipelines run through Sonix, Descript, or Trint in Spanish + English with timecode-burned reference exports for review.

Documentary interview heritage is deep in Mexico. Cuarón's Roma drew on Cleo's family interviews recorded across CDMX neighborhoods. Iñárritu's Amores Perros and Babel layered interview-style scenes shot in Spanish, with editors handling neutral-Mexican-Spanish dialogue refinement.
